Virtues best let alone

One cannot begin to understand how many thoughts can pass through ones mind at any one moment in time. As much as one can attempt to empathise with anothers feelings and situations they all cling too needingly to their own situations and cannot let go enough to understand another. Folks may boast of selflessness and feel degraded and hurt when one tells them they are little different from their fellows and should keep to their own lives, as this is what they are good at and it will stop the insesant whining of no one being as selfless as they themselves are and helping them through their troubled times as they do others. one wishes these people would simply stop being selfless for the good of us all

As good as empathy is for our world it is, in itself, an art. an art not easily mastered and when trifled with by amatuers can cause great distress amongst others. i do feel pessimistic frowning upon such good virtues as these, but one who has witnessed, as i have, their destructive path would not disagree with me. trying to be 'godly' good only means no one is any longer good enough for you. miserable life to lead dont you think?
